MAG Property announces ISS as new FM provider

MAG Property, the property and development arm of the UK’s leading airport operator Manchester Airports Group (MAG), has announced ISS as their new facilities management provider

ISS will now be responsible for servicing commercial property across all four of MAG’s airports at Manchester, East Midlands, London Stansted and Bournemouth.

This appointment represents the largest long-term facilities management contract in MAG Property’s 16 year history and will see ISS retained to deliver a complete solution, including hard and soft services, across their portfolio until 2021.

Ken Mellis, Head of Estates & Risk at MAG Property, said “Our position as airport property experts means we need to provide a service that aligns with the high expectations of our customers. By working more closely with them and listening to their feedback, we were able to review the way we deliver facilities management for their benefit. This meant choosing an internationally recognised partner with the flexibility, wide range of capabilities, high standards and breadth of expertise required to deliver this successfully across our entire portfolio.

“ISS displayed a thorough understanding of our specific needs and has a wealth of facilities management experience in dealing with the type of specialised assets we own and manage. Coupled with their focus on technology, innovation and service, we are confident have a trusted partner in ISS to help both MAG Property and our customers thrive.”

ISS won the contract after MAG Property invited a number of high-profile companies to tender for the work to help it deliver the facilities management needs of its growing 250 strong property portfolio and 1,000 plus customers. With over 45,000 staff based in the UK and Ireland, and one of the largest facility services providers in the world, ISS has significant experience of many different environments.

Matthew Brabin, Chief Executive Officer of ISS UK & Ireland said “We are delighted to partner with MAG Property to deliver a sleek and efficient integrated facilities management service that is designed specifically for the fast pace of their customer base and property they occupy. By combining our service expertise, we will help MAG Property facilitate a step change in the way they manage their portfolio for the benefit of their customers, and our dedicated call centre means we can deliver this complete service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
